Twenty-four years of arrivals

Anthony has more than 25 years in the migration advice industry. He first registered in 2003 and has held continuous registration ever since. Before registering he completed a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science at the University of New South Wales, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Australian Immigration Law at the Victoria University of Technology.

Immigration is family history for Anthony. His father and grandparents arrived in 1961 as ten pound poms. On his mother's side, his great-great-great-grandfather landed in Tasmania in 1849 as a sixteen-year-old convict, sentenced to seven years for stealing six chickens, and later sailed to South Australia a free man. Anthony holds Irish and English citizenship alongside Australian.

Australia was built on the back of migrants, and he takes the view that people who want to contribute to it deserve a straight answer and a proper case. He has worked across every major migration stream and the Administrative Review Tribunal.

Stella has more than eight years in the migration advice industry. She holds a Master of Accounting and a Graduate Certificate in Migration Law and Practice from the Australian National University. Her own experience as a migrant is where her patience for the process comes from, and her interest in finding the pathway that actually fits a client rather than the obvious one.

She works across independent skilled migration, employer-sponsored migration, family-sponsored migration and student visa applications. Before becoming a migration agent she spent several years as an education consultant assisting international students. Stella speaks Mandarin and English.

Ruaa runs client applications from start to finish, once one of the firm's senior registered agents has set the migration strategy. She holds a Bachelor of International Studies from Western Sydney University and a Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice from the Australian National University.

Ruaa arrived in Australia on a humanitarian visa, and that is where her interest in this work began. In five years at Visacorp she has handled skills assessments across a range of assessing authorities, employer nomination applications, Skills in Demand applications, SkillSelect applications and family visas. She is fluent in Neo-Aramaic, Arabic, Turkish and English.

Her motto is never give up, and the files bear it out.
