Three approvals, one process

Sponsorship is sequential. Run properly, it’s predictable.

Standard Business Sponsorship

Your business is approved as a sponsor: legitimacy, capacity and a commitment to the obligations. Valid for five years.

Nomination

The role itself is approved: occupation on the right list, salary at or above threshold and market rate, genuine position.

Visa

Your candidate's application: experience, English, health and character, evidenced decision-ready.

What it costs the business

Beyond government fees, budget for the Skilling Australians Fund levy: $1,200 per year of visa for businesses under $10M turnover, $1,800 per year above it, payable at nomination. The levy and nomination costs are the employer’s by law and cannot be passed to the worker. We map the full cost per hire before you commit to anything.

Why employers stay with us

The same agent runs your file every time, sponsorship obligations are set up properly on day one, and renewals, 186 transitions and new hires reuse what’s already built. Sponsorship becomes routine instead of a scramble.

“Visacorp offered an excellent service throughout our visa application. They responded to any queries in a timely fashion and ensured our case was presented well to enable a quick turnaround. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.”

Employer questions

What does sponsoring an employee cost the business?

Sponsorship and nomination fees plus the Skilling Australians Fund levy: $1,200 per year of visa for businesses under $10M turnover, $1,800 per year for larger ones. The levy and nomination costs are the employer's by law and cannot be recovered from the worker.

How long does sponsorship take?

Standard Business Sponsorship, nomination and visa each have their own processing. Run in the right order with decision-ready files, the total is predictable; run badly, each stage can bounce. We manage all three in parallel where the rules allow.

What salary must we offer?

At least the Core Skills Income Threshold ($79,423 from 1 July 2026) or the Specialist Skills threshold ($146,576) depending on stream, and never below what an Australian doing the same job would earn.

What are our obligations as a sponsor?

Records, notification of certain events, ensuring the worker performs the nominated role, and cost rules. They're manageable when they're set up properly on day one, and audited occasionally, which is exactly what we do.
